Manito: A Precious Gift Prepared with You in Mind.
Manito is a warm project where participants exchange gifts while thinking of each other. Each participant carefully prepares a gift for their 'manito' by considering the other person's interests, hobbies, and preferences. This project encourages simple yet heartfelt acts of giving, allowing participants to strengthen their relationships through the process of exchanging gifts.

In this project, the gifts are delivered in three parts.

Manito는 참여자들이 서로를 생각하며 선물을 주고받는 따뜻한 프로젝트입니다. 각 참여자는 자신의 마니또를 위해 상대방의 관심사, 취미, 좋아하는 것 등을 고려하여 정성스럽게 선물을 준비합니다. 이 프로젝트는 간단하지만 따뜻한 마음을 전하는 활동을 장려하며, 선물을 주고받는 과정을 통해 관계를 더욱 깊게 만들 수 있습니다.

 이 프로젝트에서 선물은 PART 1, PART 2, PART 3로 나누어 전달됩니다.

CROSS ; Together yet separate

CROSS is designed to meet the needs of both personal and shared spaces.
When combined, it provides a shared area, and when used individually,
you can use the underside of A's tabletop for creative activities or organizing schedules.
Additionally, you can use B, the side table, to enjoy some relaxation time.

CROSS는 개인 공간과 공유 공간을 모두 만족시키기 위해 디자인되었습니다. 서로를 결합하면 공유 공간을 제공하고,개별적으로 사용하면 A의 상판의 아랫면을 활용해 창작 활동을 하거나 일정을 정리할 수 있습니다.
또한, B인 사이드 테이블을 활용하여 휴식 시간을 즐길 수도 있습니다.

The furniture named 'CROSS' was inspired by my manito's hobby, crossfit. What stood out about crossfit, unlike other sports, is the use of whiteboards. Therefore, we designed the table surface to serve a similar function to a whiteboard. Additionally, because 'CROSS' means 'to intersect,' the focal points of the furniture were designed in a cross pattern. 

CROSS라는 이름의 가구는 제 마니또의 취미인 크로스핏에서 영감을 받았습니다. 크로스핏은 다른 스포츠와는 달리 화이트보드를 사용한다는 점이 인상적이었습니다. 그래서 테이블의 상판을 통해 화이트 보드와 같은 역할을 제공하였습니다. 또한 'CROSS'는 '교차'를 의미하기 때문에, 가구 디자인의 포인트을 교차하는 형태로 구성했습니다.

stool and cushion

'Macaron' is a stool designed for solo dwellers or those living in relatively compact spaces.
It serves as a stool for everyday use but transforms into individual cushions
when home party, allowing each person to have their own seating.

Macaron은 1인가구, 혹은 다소 협소한 공간에 거주하는 사용자를 위한 스툴입니다.
평소엔 스툴로 사용하다, 홈파티가 시작되면 각자의 쿠션을 나누어 가지게 됩니다.

ISL04 island display
valchromat + metamaterials

ISL04 is hidden display shelving system used meta material.
It has the effect of hiding things on the side of the shelf by utilizing the characteristics of the material.

ISL04는 메타물질을 이용한 스탠드 선반으로
소재의 특성을 활용하여 선반 내의 물건이 측면에서 가려지는 효과를 가지고 있습니다.
about CMF

The advantage of the ‘Valchromat’ is that it is durable and comes in a variety of colors.
It is also made of eco-friendly materials, aligning well with her interests.
‘Metamaterials’ are materials that have characteristics that have not yet been discovered.
The product uses a precise lens arrangement to prevent users from observing objects beyond the material.

발크로멧의 장점은 내구성이 우수하고 다양한 색상의 형태로 제공된다는 것입니다.
또한, 친환경적인 소재로 제작되어 그녀가 관심있어하는 분야와도 어울리죠.
메타물질은 아직 발견되지 않은 특성을 가진 물질을 뜻합니다.
해당 제품에서는 정밀한 렌즈 배열을 사용하여, 사용자가 소재 너머의 사물을 관찰할 수 없게끔 만듭니다.

My present is not furniture, but materials.
I will give a material called Valchromat, which is not well known to our friends who are interested in eco-friendly materials.
I hope this friend’s life will be better through a new material called metamaterial.

제 선물은 가구가 아닌 소재입니다.
친환경적인 소재에 관심을 가지고 있는 친구에게 흔히 알려지지 않은 발크로멧이라는 소재를 선물하고,
메타물질이라는 새로운 소재를 통해 이 친구의 삶이 더 나아지길 바랍니다.
